Social component

The Participation of Getyka Financiar in actions of social responsibility is a constant component and it is part of the company’s philosophy. Getyka Financiar approaches the CSR policy in terms of sustainable development of society in long term. Also, it engages and supports projects that have social attributes because they are open to all professional categories, influencing their lives.

Getyka Financiar put its signature on important projects with a decisive social impact on the beneficiaries:

1. The involvement in organizing and supporting the Regional Conference "Models of cooperation and action in protecting children against drug use - a fundamental right", held between 16 to 19 September 2008, at the Hotel UNIREA Iasi.

Objectives: Familiarization with the drug use phenomenon and the main preventive and assistance measures in the Moldova region; to facilitate partnerships, exchange of experience and best practices among institutions working in child protection against drug consumption; strengthen the capacities in cooperation and interrelation of local networks in preventing drug consumption in the Moldova region.

Participants: 180 people - specialists from public and private institutions from 8 counties of Moldova (Iaşi, Botoşani, Neamţ, Galaţi, Bacău, Vrancea, Suceava, Vaslui) and Bucharest.
The conference was organized within the project "The Inter-institutional Antidrug Network - a model of action for child protection against drug abuse” implemented by Save the Children Iaşi and the National Anti-drug Agency - Regional Service Iaşi and funded by the European Union through the program PHARE program 2005 - Strengthening Democracy in Romania, Component 2 - Democracy, human rights, rule of law, independence of the judiciary and fight against corruption and co-financed by the City Hall of Iaşi.

 2. Project "The book - Pharmacy for the Soul"

Objective: decrease the rate of school dropout and improve school performance by involving students with school regression and reduced frequency in extracurricular activities to optimize their social insertion.

Activities:
1. Seminar  It is my right!

2. Friends Book – literary - artistic circle

3. The child's right to education, camp for creation and information

4. Book festival, cultural – artistic exhibition

Target group:  41 students from classes V - VII aged between 11 and 15 years, 2 coming from single parent families, two without parents, 7 with parents working abroad, 6 from families with normal social conditions, 24 from disadvantaged backgrounds (including 15 girls, 26 boys, of which 21 students that have failed in one or more objects and with reduced frequency, nine students who have to go for second examination but with a relatively satisfactory frequency and 11 students with reduced frequency ).

The involvement of Getyka Financiar consisted in sponsoring, with food and sweets, the workshop "It's my right", played by children from the school of Horleşti.

Always active, Getyka Financial supports the activity Save the Children Iaşi, as a member of the organization and ambassador among business community, promoting the services Save the Children Iaşi and the rights children have.

Since 2013, Getyka Financiar will support for one year, a child in need with everything that he requires under the sponsorship program of Save the Children Iasi Branch.
